PLease help--Need advice--new Josefina's hair very unkempt!!

I need advice in a very bad way!! I purchased Josefina for my daughter, for Christmas to get a head start on my shopping. Well, the first one arrived, and I couldn't believe how BAD her hair looked. She had stray hairs coming out of her braid and off her head--loose hair that just looked like a bad wig! I called customer service, and they very nicely sent out another right away, but her wig looks about the same--loose hair, straggly hair at the nape and around the face. Her hair is not nearly as nice as some of the Josefinas I have seen. Is this the way all the Josefinas are looking? What should I do? My daughter has talked of nothing but Josefina for the last 6 months?!! Help!!

Don't settle for anything less than perfect. Mattel has been dropping in quality on some items and if we let them, it will continue.

What you might want to do is call an American Girl Place and talk to a personal shopper. Explain exactly what you are looking for- chubby/skinny face, how you want the hair to look, etc. The personal shoppers will hand pick your Josefina, you might have better luck.

Sorry you aren't pleased, but stick with it. AGs are great products, and thankfully they do let you return until you are completely happy, even if it is a hassle.

Thank you so much!!! I have spoken with a personal shopper in New York, and she is helping me with my doll purchase!! I love this board!!
